When individuals come together and work towards a common goal, it can provide a sense of purpose, connection, and support that can be difficult to achieve alone.

ABOUT THE EVENTS

These weekly sessions are 100% inclusive, part of a personal initiative, FREE and are NOT affiliated with any particular religion or ideology. Our aim is to provide a space for people to start the weekend feeling fresh and centered, and to experience the benefits of meditation.

During the session, attendees will have the opportunity to relax and focus their minds, which can help to reduce stress and anxiety. By taking the time to meditate together, we hope to create a sense of community and connectedness that extends beyond the event itself.

We hope that these weekly sessions will be an example for the community, and that they will continue for years to come. The entire Family is invited.

the problem

There is a lack of free spaces for meditation or that are not affiliated with any particular religion or ideology, which can be a barrier for individuals who are interested in meditation but may not feel comfortable in a traditional religious or spiritual setting.

This lack of accessible and inclusive meditation spaces can be problematic, as meditation can be an incredibly valuable tool for managing stress, anxiety.

Discover how the organizer’s own experience with long Covid and the need for human connection without an agenda, inspired her to promote this free weekly meditation event.

MEET THE ORGANIZER

MARIA PEREZ

As a minority, I have always been committed to breaking down barriers and promoting inclusivity in all areas of my life. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit and left me dealing with long-covid, I realized how motivation through the collective can be an incredibly powerful force for moving forward, especially in the recovery from challenging situations, whatever they might be.

When individuals come together and work towards a common goal or engage in a shared activity, it can provide a sense of purpose, connection, and support that can be difficult to achieve alone. This is why I decided to reach out today and  promote this personal initiative.

I am originally from Venezuela and I have a background in community development & education with my work at El Planeta Media, Harvard Business Publishing and edX.
